7 Ridiculous Examples Of Censorship In Bollywood

1) Tamasha
The latest example of ridiculous censorship is Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha. Not only did the Censors reduce the duration of a kissing scene, but they also censored the word S**li! If you are wondering what that word is, it’s the harmless SAALI! There, we said it; Censors!

2) Kaminey
The line: ‘Dil dildaara mera teli ka tel’ from the chartbuster Dhan Te Nan was accused of being casteist, as ‘Teli’ is a caste in the Indian society. As a result of which, the word had to be beeped out of the song! Are you even serious?

3) Dum Laga Ke Haisha
While the word Lesbian was muted in the film, ‘Haraamkhor’ had to be replaced with ‘Kathor!’ Oh Censors, why you be so Kathor?

4) Badmashiyaan
This film took a really bad hit from the Censor Board! Not only did Badmashiyaan suffer 5 cuts, apart from a U/A certification, but silly words like Kuttey, Kaminey, Arse, Pichwaada, Haramkhor (Oh, the Censors love to hate this word) were beeped out! What are you up to, guys?

5) No One Killed Jessica
The song ‘Aali Re’ had to be released with a beeped word. And it was the ever-so-shocking, extremely harmful ‘Kamini.’ We’ll leave it at that.

6) Because having sex is too mainstream!
A popular TV channel replaced the word SEX with GENDER! How stupid is that? Go gender yourself, Censors!

7) Feminazis unite! TV channels thinks BITCH = Woman!
What were you even thinking!?

What is more disturbing, words like Saali & Kamini, or five year old kids singing about having four bottles of vodka a day? Get your priorities right, CBFC!
